Warm Thoughts

Again the weather has dipped, 10cm of snow is called for tomorrow! I thought we were done with that! Ugh! Oh well, I'm thinking warm thoughts of our trip we are taking in March to Hawaii! Yeah, we have never been before so are greatly looking forward to it! We bought our own snorkels and masks to take with us, and we're ready for a water adventure and enjoying the hot sun! (With sunscreen of course)


I've been busy doing some article writing, lately I just love writing, it's so freeing! For my zazzle store I've been coming up with some different kinds of designs. I've been creating some designs with waves and different abstract shapes. (makes me think of the ocean in Hawaii) I love to just start drawing and see what ideas take forth! Hope you like them! American Idol Takes Over Tuesdays Again

If you happen to be an American Idol fan, Tuesday nights you'll be on the couch again! Actually, I have watched and liked this show in the past but last year I must say I was getting a little tired of it! Gets to be the same after awhile. So I'll have to see how it goes this season whether I stay tuned or not! Let's see what have I been up to... I finished working on another lens. This article is on Bearded Dragons, it was pretty easy to write as my son happens to have one of these for a pet! I also took photographs of the dragon, his name is 'Wilson'and I used some of the photo's on my zazzle products! They turned out pretty neat! Hope I sell lots of them! Shopping in Vancouver

Ever been shopping in Vancouver, B.C.? Tuesday I had the pleasure of shopping in downtown Vancouver! Cool stores that you don't see everywhere! My husband had a conference there for work and I was able to get away and stay for a couple of days with him. We stayed in a fabulous hotel one of which we would normally not be able to afford! It was so nice... I don't get to go on the overnighters too often as leaving three guys home to fend for themselves could be dangerous! (Okay, actually I was more worried about what the house would look like when I got home) It was a nice surprise to come home to a clean house, no dishes anywhere and it looked just like I left it! We gave the guys lots of compliments on that! Things are lookin up! :-) Now to get back to working on my designs again, need to come up with some good ideas! Well this morning my husband and I were planning to go to the gym for a workout, he got up and looked out the window to more than a couple of inches of fresh snow! I can't believe how much snow we are getting! Flurries are called for today and then I think we are supposed to get rain for a few days! I hope so, I don't like driving in all this winter weather! Oh well, a home day again! :-)
I wanted to tell you about this great 'Instant Banner Creator'! If you don't know what a banner is, it's the header at the top of my blog. I created this one using the 'Instant Banner Creator', it is completely free to use! It's really quite amazing, a simple three step system. They offer great templates to use for free, you can create your own text, choose font and colours add your own clipart or you can completely design your own banner. By this I mean, by doing your own graphics, for my banner I drew my design on my tablet and then added my text! You can make several banners and then rotate them or put them wherever you want too! I thought I'd share a little about the great products that you can purchase on Zazzle. If you've never made a purchase from Zazzle, this will give you a little overview! I have personally bought several different items from Zazzle! First off, I was very impressed with the greeting cards that I purchased! The quality of the card stock was excellent, the cards had a very nice sheen to them and the designs on the cards looked great! I gave several away for birthdays! My husband bought me one of the t-shirts that I had designed, it was the fashion tee, the fit was great for me, and the design and text on the shirt turned out perfect! I definitely recommend these! Recently I also purchased two different calendars, a scenic calendar and a floral one, both of excellent quality. The photo's turned out very nice! I would recommend these for gifts as well! Winter Wonderland

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a fabulous Christmas. The guys opened their stockings around 9am. I know they're big boys but the stockings are still one of their favourite christmas traditions! We opened gifts and had a fabulous Christmas breakfast! We put the turkey in to cook around 11am. Christmas dinner was awesome and I think we all ate a little too much! The snow was still coming down as it is right now! I haven't seen this much snow here for years! My oldest son build this snow fort in the back yard! He build a bench inside that can seat several adults! See Photo) Unbelievable hey! The weather says another 10cm today! It's weird kinda being snowed in! Oh well, it's cozy by the fire and christmas tree lights! That's it for now!
